BIRD SIGHTINGS IN THE MACCLESFIELD AREA
Please send details of any rare or unusual birds and the dates of the earliest summer and winter migrants seen in and around Macclesfield area (within a 1 hour drive) as soon as possible. E-mail your records to as soon as possible. Please ensure that public access is available to the sites. If you have a photograph of any of the birds seen please also send these for inclusion in the web site. Click on the dates below to view records for that month/year. If there are any pictures of the birds listed, double click on that picture to view a larger image of the bird and obtain more information. Please Note! - Records are submitted by local group members and other birdwatchers. The Macclesfield Local Group cannot guarantee the authenticity of reports. Details of scarce or rare birds requiring a description for acceptance to the county database can be found on the Cheshire and Wirral Ornithological web site (CAWOS). This site also includes downloadable rarity forms and details for submissions.
